ICFiles - What to do if your download fails or upload fails?

Steps to take if you or a client is having a failed download or failed upload
  • Check if the file or the combined files are less than 4 GB. If it is more than 4 GB and can't be reduced, use the ICF Express Desktop App to upload and download the file. ICF Express can be found on "ICFiles.com" under the Download Apps menu.
  • Check your internet speed. Internet speed should be 3.00 Mbps or faster.
    • Try rebooting your internet router. This may improve your internet speed. Log in to the router or unplug it for 60 seconds to reboot it.
    • Clear your browser cache
    • If your internet speed is less than 1.00 Mbps, try uploading and downloading with the ICF Express Desktop Application. It is located in ICFiles under Download Apps.
  • Check to see if the file is opened in any other program or for network files by anyone else on the network.
  • QuickBooks files have to be closed to be moved or changed.
  • If you have a Virus or Malware program checking downloads, add "https://www.icfiles.com/" to the Expection list. If this fixes your problem, consider getting a virus program that does not give false positives. After downloading, remove "ICFiles.com" from the exception list.
  • It happens rarely, but it does happen. The file was corrupted during upload or download. In this case, you must delete the file and ask the uploader to re-upload it.
